Jacksonville Chapter ALA is an organization who cares about each other and coming together to make a collective impact. We celebrate diversity by having varied perspectives. This helps generate better ideas to solve the complex problems of a changing and increasingly diverse world. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment where we value and develop members of all backgrounds and experiences. Our leaders must possess diversity and inclusion competencies to lead and manage an engaged membership. Members should treat their fellow members and colleagues with respect and embrace a culture of inclusion. This empowers us to reach our full potential. D&I is more than a box to check or a target to hit. The numbers matter, but they are only a starting point; our commitment to diversity and inclusion runs much deeper.
